Something similar happened to me one August during a jazz cd recording session in Atlanta. The 581st AF Jazz Band was making a cd and I had to be careful on inhalation or I would start coughing heavily. I was the bass trombonist at the time for the group and the arrangers wrote some extremely low, loud passages and I was having problems breathing without coughing. You may want to see a physician soon. Does it happen on inhalation or exhalation? Both? Check it out, hope it is not serious.
