I absolutely love my 52J, it has even responce in all of the registers, and you can really flap out that pedal E, its my favorite note. As far as tuning goes, the only thing that I have to do is to push in my top tuning slide for the tuning Bb, and pull out the 4th for the Db's, and lip down the B's. Other than that the horn is right on the money.
