In terms of Eastman being the end of all schools...I really don't know. What
I do know is that at the music schools where I went to (both in big cities),
I could not have imagined not having those big orchestras as someting I
could go and hear week in and week out. I don't know how good/bad/decent???
that the Rochester Symphony is, but not having a big name orchestra and
being out in the sticks are not things that would be good to have in a music
school.
This may seem a little off the cuff remark, but I must say that in all my
travels it seems like everyone who is or went to Eastman smoked a lot of
weed. Just a random observation, and yes I do know that a lot of kids in
college smoke da weed but there was definantely a large amount of weedage
going up in Rochester from my understanding.
