Well, Mel Culbertson's no little person, but it sure looks like he's playing on a transmission funnel. I guess he has a uniquely strong embouchure. The advantage is that by simply holding your finger over the bottom of the mpc., you now have a perfect silver beer goblet suitable for those quickie chugs in between entrances in Mahler 1. Maybe you could throw back a few shots of schnapps during Alpensinfonie. Or you could use it for a large sundae at the Symphony Patron's ice cream social mixer after the performance, when you'd rather be sleeping. You could loan it to the local theatre as the Tin Man's hat. Maybe you could hook a tube to it and use it for an oxygen mask. Put a clapper in it and use it for the subject percussion effect in The Liberty Bell. Maybe as the anvil in The Song of the Blacksmith.

More?

Whatever you do with it, I don't see how it could work as a mouthpiece.
