At the Army Tuba Show, I had a display across Dave's. When it got slow, I went over and started playing horns and went for the big ones. I played the Holton and it is a bit ragged, it could use a plating but it played really good. For $6000, it is a good, but not pretty horn that would be fine until you can come up with the money for a plating job.
Also at the show was another Holton that Matt cut down at Dillon's. Another fine horn that could use a plating.
