A bit of advice.... When you reache your destination, open the case as soon as you get it. If there is damage to your horn, and the case is not damaged, kill your case. I have heard of many cases in which the tuba was damaged, with no physical damage done to the case. The airline will not pay a cent if this is the case. You seriously need to put a couple holes into your case if you intend to collect anything from them. I'll also second the advise of homeowners insurance. Although it may not bring back that beautiful circa brand X tuba's characteristics, it will help to have a wizard like Matt at dillons repair it.
