I've had GREAT luck. I just recently got an old Helleberg from an antique shop in Minneapolis. What joy!!! I never thought a mouthpiece could make such a difference (although I always wondered when I studied with Jake a zillion years ago.) I'm also waiting for a Tilz mp to show up, but I can't imagine I'll care after playing on the Helleberg.
I've also recently bought an 1894 Conn baritone which, again, came from an antique dealer. It arrived in perfect shape and is having some work done (expected.) Have not had a chance to actually play it. In addition there's been a couple of records, and a CD. Everything has arrived in fine shape and exactly as promised. So, for me, its been rewarding and fun.
