All of the opinions in the world will not help you but just give you an idea. Why don't you just take out a different tuba out on trial every two weeks and play each one with your groups untill you find one that fits your needs.
What matters the most is how it plays and how it sounds to you and no one else. Or if playing with a group their opinion would matter more to me.
Plus you don't sound the same on a specific tuba as I or someone else would. We all sound different on the same tuba. Alot of factors change sound. Two people playing the same tuba with the same mouthpiece dont sound the same on the tuba. It's very rare they would. Too many things are different.
