Whether of an undoubledly old design, I think it is somewhat widerbored than the original Wieprech model.
Just saw a photo, off the net, which confirmed a flugelhorn with Berliner pumpen still being in active use in a kids parade band in Sweden in 1953 along with modern instruments.
