On top of all of the previously mentioned composers(except for Henry Fillmore ;-), I just thought I'd add two. Robert Jager(Esprit de Corps, etc) and David Holsinger(To Tame the Perrilous Skies, On a Hymnsong of ). A couple of the few wind band composers who compose more than just "Band Music". Mark Camphouse should be mentioned as well, and I have to second anyone's positive comments about W. Francis McBeth.

One of the lesser-known(but not lesser-talented) composers for whom I have LOTS of respect, is Matt Schoendorff. He's also a tubist, and may or may not lurk on this BBS.
