I've been listening to a 1971 LP with the long-winded title of "The Chicago Symphony Trombone and Tuba Sections Play Concert Works and Orchestral Excerpts". What inspiring playing! "Tight" and "core of sound" seem inadequate to describe what one hears.

I was thinking that the material on this LP would be prime material for republication for students aspiring to an orchestral career. But who owns the rights to this thing? Is there a master tape available? (There is quite a bit of print-through audible on the LP).

BTW, the culprits on this LP are none other than Arnold Jacobs, Jay Friedman, Frank Crisafulli, Ed Kleinhammer and James Gilbertsen.
