I could be wrong, but I didn't think the Weril valves were as widely spaced as the valves on the Yamaha. They are also oriented a bit differently. Even so, you may find that no piston-valve tuba will meet your needs. That's one huge advantage to a rotary tuba--the spatulas can be bent together (by someone who knows how) so that they are almost touching for a really close spacing. I have enormous hands (and can palm a basketball), but my York Master's large valves are a real challenge. The Yamaha 621 is only slightly better. That's one thing I really like about that Miraphone.
