I tried the Kalison CC at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt last week and I liked it. It's more of a 5/4 size than a 6/4 (a'la Yorkbrunner/Deck-o-phone), but it does have a nice, big sound with a pretty good center. Response and intonation were really quite good. The valves are made by Walter Nirschl and felt fine. Pretty even sound throughout except for the really high register. I'd say it's a good buy.

I play a Hirsbrunner, so that's my frame of reference.

Also, there's a new Kalison F that's out that's not bad. They call it a 6/4 F, but it's really about the size of and compares well with the Yamaha 822. Also not a bad buy. Definitely better than their smaller F's.
