I have seen this from an allergic reaction to silver, or dirt that has accumulated on a silver mouthpiece. Make sure to clean your mouthpiece after each use. You could try a gold plated mouthpiece or rim, or nylon rim and see if the problem goes away, but that it a much more expensive solution, and not a guarantee.
