I would strongly reccomend Brevard music festival. It's a six week long camp in the beautiful mountains in Brevard, North Carolina. I went this past summer, and it is a great camp, for low brass especially. The tuba teacher this past year was Scott Watson (current president of T.U.B.A., or whatever it's called these days) and this year it will probably be Mike Grosse (sp?). I have heard nothing but good things about him also. Every year, Charlie Vernon comes down and teaches master classes for low brass for a few days. There were 5 tubists on in the studio - 3 high school and 2 college. This year, there will be a Tuba/euph. workshop with Symphonia. This will be an awesome 3 day workshop, which I plan on going to, and if you go to the full summer camp, you will also be able to participate in the workshop. Below is a link to Brevard's website. I highly reccommend the camp, and good luck on your search.

Austin
