I can give you good advice on this. I'm a Navy LT that goes through this every 3 to 4 years. The best way to do it, is pack it up yourself very carefully in a large box (ie, 48x30x30, using nothing but bubble wrap) and ship it with your household goods (when you move). This will be your only way unless you bring it with you on the plane when your family flies out. I recently attemted to ship my 6/4 to Matt Walters from Honolulu for some upgrades. Yellow Freight was the only one that would do it. The price, 100.00 just to get it to Long beach, and 275.00 to Jersey. 375.00 one way. Hope this helps.
