Gee, Rick, guess you haven't heard from Jay in a while. He no longer has the Besson (I can't remember where it ended up), and he now plays a YFB 621 in THREE, the tuba trio we are doing. Guess you inspired him...

Opportunity for a shameless plug: THREE is making our debut at the Knitting Factory in NYC on Friday, April 6, playing, among other things, a fantastic new work written for us by David Snow. On the same bill I am doing a duet with Colin Rusch, a dancer from Minneapolis who consistently knocks my socks off; a couple tunes with the Sick Passengers, my indie Rock band (a few minutes to rest my chops in this two-set evening of avant-tuba!); and Christopher Meeder's Good Time Ensemble, my quartet with guitar, bass and drums.

Anyway, he also got the YCB 621, which he loves, and some kind of weird former Miraphone 188.

I'm sure Jay would send you his greetings if he knew I was writing this...

Christopher Meeder
