I remember being put on stage to play along with the Navy Band on "National Emblem" when they came to my college, and that experience turned me straight towards a military career.
And, yes, I'm back from USMC recruit training, but only for a week -- then it's back to Camp Pendleton for MCT (more mud & MRE's!), and then off to D.C. to report to the USMC D&B Corps.
