I will pass your kind words on to him. The closest I have come to the Conn in the picture was smaller Martin Eb that the school owned that I played on frequently. It was a holdover from WWII and had a valve set up like a Besson but with no compensation. One of the repair guys(remember Charlie Ross?) said it was made out of corrugated Aluminum. Sounded like BS tome, but it did have a weird sound. Hope this helped.
