Not an easy answer here. Without getting into the A vs B debate, you need to decide what your long term goals are. Likely you will need both a large and small horn eventually (or a small, medium, and large horn). A good 4/4 CC will fit most situations well and allow you to develop as a player. Adding an Eb or F later, then maybe a big BBb or CC to round out the collection are very realistic possibilities. Maybe the question is which horn to get first!
