I have used a Meinl Weston 32 for small groups and as a back-up tuba for around 12 years. I like this model tuba and think that its strength is as a general purpose tuba. I have found this model to play in tune very well, have an excellent sound and adapt well to any playing. The Meinl Weston 32 is also a very well made tuba. I like the Meinl Weston 32 very much.

In my experience this tuba must be played with a relaxed air stream to produce a good sound that will project (especially in the low range). This model was one of the standards when I was an undergraduate (1970's), it no longer is.

Feel free to e-mail me about these tubas. Also, Matt Walters at Dillon's can tell you more about this tuba.
