In talking to Matt on the phone, he said that the main benefit of this tuba would be the German sound, and that in comparison to the 621, yes the Yammy low register was open, but it did not have "the sound."
The main reason I'm looking at this one is that it is an F, and it's in my price range. Matt is willing to send it to me for a play test, but it is still going to cost me $300 total if I send it back.
