With a dual bore horn the EEb side of the F/EEb compensator would theoretically respond a lot more openly than the F side. Between the two sides there would be a "good" responding and in-tune fingering for every note. This would also probably eliminate the need for a 5th valve and possibly the 4th valve completely. I wish I had another one of these Yamahas to put my theories into practice. Perhaps I could modify an old Besson high-pitch EEb compensator for the purpose.MMMMMMM.........Have to keep my eyes open for a cheap old one.
