The Inner Game book is pretty good, but I like Eloise Ristad's A Soprano on Her Head even better. I found myself playing better after reading just a few chapters (she seems to be very good at putting musicians' heads (back) in the right places). A major part of her approach is the linking of physical movement with musical interpretation (as in: dance-play, to complement Arnold Jacobs' sing-buzz-play). She also addresses problems arising from evil piano teachers from musician's childhoods, learning to sight-read and memorize, and she really does describe a soprano who sang better on her head.
