I've played the Cervany 621 piston prototype briefly and was not impressed. The valves do not appear to be of the "big" valve variety which help to give the newer Meinl Weston, VMI and B&S piston-valve horns their free response.
I've also played the Cervany 686 BBb model, and thought that it was a good solid rotary valve tuba especially if you get the updated valve linkage.
