I've considered the same project myself. Would the GG contra bugles also be a good source for stock for the project? I also have a 4-valve version of the rotary Martin that just sold on ebay. Bore size is .717. It is the bigest thing I've seen in bell size and bows. It would be an easy cut to CC because of so much cylindrical tubing in the straight horn, but taking it down to FF might really do it some justice. Getting the juncture right would be very challenging. MMMMMMMM......
