I think you could make an excellent case for that in the past, because they made all those cheap little 3-piston 3/4 Jr. High horns, while the Cerveny name went on all those fine German-style rotary horns. But they imply (credibly) that the Amati name is just for their piston tubas and the Cerveny name for their rotary valve horns. They may or may not be the same quality as the better Cerveny horns, but they're clearly "not your father's Oldsmobile", either, unless the Jr. High kids are playing 37 inch tall 5 valve horns with 20 inch bells. I notice the weight at 17 lb., so they must be thin metal ala the Cerveny horns, too.

As stated before, I'm not claiming anything on behalf of the Amati tubas, just giving another possible explanation.
