About 15 years ago I had to make cork strips to fit my mute into a larger horn,
so I went down to the local crafts franchise (in the Bay Area it's "Michael's")
and bought a sheet of 1/2" thick cork. It also works very well for rotor bumpers,
just be sure to select cork with a "grain" that is suitable for the metal posts
on your rotors. Really small grain would probably be louder, but grain thats too big might break up...try it, it's relatively inexpensive. Use a very sharp x-acto knife to cut the form, cut it oversize and then use a new single-edges safety blade to carefully shave the cork down where it meets the rotor post until it's where you want it. Generally I only use cork on the return stops...

Regards to all,
