How presumptious of you to make any recomendation based on the question posted by Chris. I understand that you may have had a bad experience with a Mirafone, but I now wonder if it wasn't the horn at all but the player! Most good players can make a mirafone sound great, though many will prefer to play other brands. This does not reflect on a poor product as much as personal preference. Why Chris is looking for a mirafone was not stated, but I might hazard a guess that he wants one horn which will work for most situations, and few horns do that as well as the 186.
