Hello All
Another recording of the Hindemith that is worth checking out is by Swedish Tubist Oystein Baadsvik and his pianist Niklas Sivelov. It is a wonderful interpretation (my personal favorite) and his pianist NAILS the hellish accompaniment. It is a great all-around recording that also features the Madsen SONATA, Kraft ENCOUNTERS II, a piece for solo tuba and brass quintet, and an amazing unknown sonata by his pianist. I highly recommend this recording. Sorry for the plug..he does not pay me to say these things!!! :-)
It is on the Simax label out of Norway...I purchased mine at Tower Records in Chicago.
Good Luck
