I agree with many of your comments. I can barely find enough time to do the kind of practice that would maintain what little bit of chops I have left. I always said I would not end up like most band directors I know and stop playing as much, but I see this happening little by little. As posted earlier, practice as often, as efficiently, and with as much comfort now as you possibly can. I wish I practiced as much in college as I should have and had the time for. Now, I want to practice and play, but cannot seem to find the time. Whatever you do, don't make the same mistake.
