I once heard that a tuba player in Orlando, Florida by the name of Claude Kashnig had Monette make a tuba for him. It was prohibitively expensive (if you believe the rumors) and the results were not very noticable. I heard Claude wasn't head-over-heels in love with the horn afterwards. I'd be curious to know how your technique compares to what Monette did to Claude's tuba.
