this may be you r lucky day as i have a copy of the solo with pilafian's notes on it! i have had the opportunity to perform this piece a few times with various groups and i can tell you it is a heck of a piece. looks easy to play, but technically a nightmare to make it sound the way pilafian played it. by the way you are asking for somrthing that is property of pershings own army band. i was lucky enough to date the oboe player for that band in highschool and i think she sent it to me as a cruel joke....VERY difficult but if you practice like a fiend a wonderful piece of music! let me know if i can help you out.
