I have a question for some tuba excperts to answer about my playing.
I've been having trouble with my low range on my BB tuba (its a really big Conn) ,and my band teacher told me to sitch mouthpieces-he gave me a bigger one but I don't think it sounds as good as my old one on the notes just below the tuning BB. Hes a clarinet player so I don't think he plays tuba too for me to trust him...May be this is a super dumb question ,but are bigger mouthpieces supposed to sound better down that low? Do you may be I'm not doing it right that? Thanks for any advise in advanced.
