I'm wondering how much do the size of the tuba player effect the sound that comes out of the tuba? I've seen that the wider tuba players usually have this sort of low bass water drop sound, more like a bass fiddle. While the thinner tuba players usually has this somewhat sharp, and bright sound. I've heard from different sets of tuba teachers say that the size of the player doesn't matter others say it does. Could anyone explain?
