Unfortunately, Sean's BBb tuba fingering chart doesn't cover the low stuff. Personally, I have a five valve horn, but my fifth valve is on the left hand. This makes it a hassle to move between the fifth valve and my tuning slides. So, I'm rather familiar with what works on my horn in the lower register.
For me, low "D" is very in tune as 2,3,and 4. The D flat comes in rather well as 1,3, and 4. And, a rather sharp low C can be attained all four down. I notice in the fingerings you listed, the math isn't quite as it should be. The length of tubing you're using to play a low D is longer than it is for a low Db. It should be the other way around...but, if that's the way your horn plays goodest, then by all means!
