Well, this is just a thought, and you may be able to dismiss it quickly, but I remember a slightly similar problem that I had, also on a YEP-321 when I first started playing brass instruments at all back in the 8th grade.
The thing that was doing it for me was that while I was playing, I was simply not pushing straight down when I went to depress a valve. I guess I was sort of pushing at a slight angle. Well, the result was obvious; sticky valves. Eventually, my teacher noticed I was doing it, and after making me aware of it, the problems stopped.
Just a thought.
