I am wokring on my intonation now as well. I play long tones for 30 minutes a day. While doing this I am listening to find that sweet spot where there particular note sounds best. When I find that sweet spot I open my eyes and look at the tuner, and find myself playing no more than 5 cents off for the most part. If you feel like you are about to fall out of your mouthpiece to find that sweet spot then you pull out a little bit. I think you will that when you play on the sweet spot of the horn you will be playing pretty close to what the tuner say is in tune. Then all you have to worry about is hitting the sweet spot every time that you play. Hope this helps...
