Oops. I meant to mention that one of the articles dealt with which instruments he owned, what he thought of them, and why he began to play the CC tuba.
By the way, another British tubist who used a CC was Paul Lawerence of the LPO. He had a converted B&H BBb. I'm not sure of the details, but apparently the orchestra asked him to use his EEb instead. I'm not sure when this was, but I believe it was in the 60s or 70s. That also happened a few years ago in the CBSO, to a different player.
