I won't rebute your points on either an intellectual or emotional basis. I do want to point one fact: the largest exodus of Jews out of Eastern Europe, through Vienna, and on to Israel and other parts of the world, happened during the Kurt Waldheim years. The same can said for the VPO's embrace of the music of Gustav Mahler - a jew, as I'm sure you're well aware. Nothing can take away from the atrocities of the past, but these are positive steps in the right direction. Insistanting that the VPO should suddenly insert a quota of Asians and women strikes me as being overly impatient at this point and time. Change will come - but not overnight. Should they remove players who are already there?
