Boosey has been very shy about getting photos to the dealers. Even their site, which has photos of the Frankfurt Musical Instrument Show, only has some distant shots from the back, cluttered by other instruments. I've played the prototype and spoken at length with Pat Sheridan about the instrument and what I was told is that Mr. Nirschl basically downsized the tapers and bell/bows of the 6/4 horn into a good sized 4/4 instrument. The horn is light, easy to hold and plays very well with that characteristic York sound. I received notification yesterday that one of these is on the way to the store as we speak (write?) and should be here next week. Unfortunately I have about 7 people lined up for these instruments and I will only be getting about 3 a month for a while.
