Also try the Alexander 151. It is slightly larger bore than most of the euphoniums on the list above and is a great solo horn with a very resonant and beautiful tone. Tony Clements has one with a fifth valve, which has all the advantages of a compensator plus a few of its own (less resistance in the air path plus accurate intonation for low register). I have tried this horn, and it is well worth the price Tony is asking.
