I must correct myself in that the Bozza is the recorded material that Charles Schuchat takes down an octave in spots as compared to Jacobs in the CSO Brass Quintet playing in the octaves written. Maybe the tempo for the Asbury Quintet recording was a little to gust to cleanly perform it for Charles, whatever the case is there a stadardized rule for octaves and/or personal opinions on taking things down for safety reasons.
