I like the tried and true plain ol' Conn Helleberg MP for the Mirafone 186, although I'm currently using the TU29 (because the Conn is on my Getzen and I'm in a more experimental phase).
They're both similar MP's, as far as I can tell, even though they do look different. If I were you I'd buy a copy of the Helleberg for really cheap and try it out. Mine is actually a UMI copy that was about thirty bucks cheaper than the Conn. The difference? One has "Conn" stamped on it, the other doesn't.
