If the Mirafone 183 has rings for straps like the 186, then the Meinl Weston harness will work very well. I use one on my St Pete which is almost a mirror image of the 186. These aren't the cheap way to go, but they will support the tuba almost hands free and are quite comfortable even if you have a gig that requires standing for a long time. Also, the way they attach does not mar the finish on the instrument. Probably available lots of places, I got mine from Brasswind.
