Okay, I dug around in my old LP boxes and found the New York Brass Quintet LP that I was remembering.

It's on the RCA Gold Seal label, number AGL1-3968, but it notes that it was previously released as LSC-2938. The copyright date is 1967. I bought it probably in the early 80's.
