Double Kudos to Jeff Arwood. The amazing amount of sound he produced on his Besson F was astounding. I remember a night in San Antonio in 1990 when th Ground Forces played at TMEA and Jeff Arwood blew the highly esteemed Christian Lindberg off the map with his performances of a Mark Camphouse piece and Tico-Tico. NOBODY talked about Lindberg the next day, just Arwood and his playing of the night before. A true legend of the tuba. He had the perfect F tuba sound, and tuba sound for that matter.
