This is great.

I am sitting here eating bar-be-que before my gig this evening, and read your post as well as looked at the grand for sale. Catalogue pictures that I have been able to access did not picture the grand as clearly as this one for sale, and it answers my questions concerning the correct identification of my grand.

Mine has a detachable bell, and has less flare in the bell coming from the bottom bow to the attachment joint, but the rest of the horn is identical. (Mine is lacquer, not plated).

I wish that my bell was from that period. I suspected from looking at engraving that my bell was newer, and this appears to be correct. I would like to eventually have a period bell, upright in direction. If I got one, I would reverse the conversion I did not my bell.

The seller is right concerning havibng to work a little to get the sound. When you get it though, it is great.

BTW, when are you going to be in Memphis again?
