In the course of my job, I ran across this company located in Oak Ridge, TN. They do custom cases, and from what I can tell, it's quite a bit cheaper than WJ. They can make the case out of structural expanded plastic with an aluminum skin. One of their sales consultants is a former music major as well, and would probably understand the needs of a tubist looking for a flight case. Unfortunately, he is on vacation this week.
