That's because in the 18th century, before the tuba was invented, they didn't know what to do with all those parts. Some guy said, hey, let's build a lamp!
'Course that was also 100 years or more before Edison invented the electric light, so the other guy said, "uh... what's a lamp?"
Joe Baker, who sometimes thinks he should turn ALL his instruments into 18th century lamps, but figures the light would just be flat, and drag.
